Strengths: Benji is extremely intelligent; he paid attention at school and found that he had a natural flair for learning and taking in information. His Confidence also led him to behavioural trouble making; his outspoken behaviour and genuine need to rebel from the ‘pure-blooded’ society that he hated ensured that the majority of his free time was spent in detention. He was blessed with good genes from his parents,, giving that boyish charm that doesn’t seeming to be wearing thin, even with age.
Weaknesses: His outspoken behaviour tended to get him into sheltered trouble during his school time, a habit that has travelled with him through to adulthood. Although only speaking when spoken too, the words he choses often land him in serious trouble.

Family – Benji was born to parents Ava and Leopold Keyes, his parents were loving and kind and supportive, both himself and his brother being brought up in a nurturing and safe environment. His parents, being pureblood, never held the pureblood superiority that plagued many pure wizarding families; they were active in their fight against Voldemort, original members of the Phoenix when first formed by Dumbledore in the 1970’s, they used to bring a young Benjamin and Thom into their meetings, leaving him to play with a young Fred and George Weasley, of whom he was the same age.
Underground followers of Voldemort murdered them both in 1995, when Benji was in his graduating year of Hogwarts, something that didn’t affect him as deeply until later years. His Brother Thom, who was easily persuaded and always in the pursuit of power became a branded Death Eater just short of his 22nd birthday, when Benji was 17. His own friends killed him a year later in 1996, after a run-in with a dementor, choosing to murder a friend rather that risk revealing their identities by helping him.
Personal –Benji was accepted into Hogwarts just a fortnight before his twelfth birthday, he completed every year but one there, He was smart, and his grades showed his intelligence, he was also popular, he had many friends, all of who, looked up to him and admired his confidence, everyone knew that great things were destined for the youngest Keyes boy. Transferring for a year to another wizarding school, Durmstrang in 1992, was a huge step for Benji; his parents hoped he would enjoy the experience, he left the people who looked up to him, but he never considered them true friends, he felt alone during most of his school life, never finding someone with whom he could really share a bond with, that is until he was sent to Durmstrang. During his year there he made firm friends with a young girl called Serephine Grimassi, the two became extremely close, having both similar lives and older siblings who followed Voldemort, they shared many experiences, rebelling against the world together, unfortunately Benji’s outspokenness ensured he was not invited back to Durmstrang the following year, he left abruptly, only telling Serephine of the news via a short letter, then returning to Hogwarts to complete his education, something which Benji deeply regretted the moment he sent his owl with the letter.
After his parents murder in 1995 in Benji inherited a comfortable amount of gold from them both. Saddened by their eldest son’s loyalty to the evil that they had chosen to spend their lives fighting, they left everything to Benji, binding him to his family’s gold and ensuring that his older brother did not try to steal it from him.
Benji chose to move to inner London, sharing an apartment with his brother until he was murdered shortly after, a decision that came as a shock to many, who had heard whisperings of Thom’s involvement with the Dark Lord, Benji, also saddened by his brothers choice of lifestyle never confronted him, choosing to sweep the information and obvious signs under the rug, like a family refusing to come to terms with a drug-addicted spouse, the two lived side-by-side for convenience, Thom was rarely home, same with Benji, they rarely spoke as Benji still felt the shock of his parents death clouding his better judgement. When he heard of his brother’s death the cloud was lifted, Benji exploded with grief and pain, turning briefly to alcohol to dumb his pain again, trashing his brothers room and destroying any evidence that he lived there, he now chooses not to speak of his brother at all, his eyes clearly showing the pain of such a time when Thom is mentioned. Benji graduated from Hogwarts in 1995, with flying colours, people congratulated him, offering him job positions, training, he was given many a leg-up in the professional world but he politely refused them all. Chose to spend just under a year in relative solitude, reading many great works of literature, finding himself and his place in the world, he stayed close to London, experiencing more of the muggle world, meeting new people, working in various jobs to find something he truly liked, he expanded his career opportunities and training yet he didn’t find anything that pleased him. Benji now lives alone in the same apartment; He is currently in liaison with Laurence Carcer who replaced Albus Dumbledore as the leader of the Order Of The Phoenix. He will begin studying and training to become an Auror shortly.

Benji sat comfortably in a booth against the window of a quiet cafe; the window was slightly ajar and let the slow, grey, stream of smoke that was lazily seeping from the cigarette in his left hand drift out the window.
His other hand was resting gently on the pages of an open book he had just purchased, its elegant leather cover lay flattened against the smooth stone table, the front page had been read, but now the book lay forgotten, Benji was absorbed in his own thoughts, he stared absentmindedly out the window, there wasn’t to many passers-by down Knockturn Alley, a place usually associated with the darker side of the wizarding world, Benji liked it because it was usually deserted, and always quiet, but he wasn’t concentrating on the scenery.
The drink that the waiter had placed in front of him was untouched, a tall rich looking iced coffee, Benji didn’t really feel much like drinking it either, his mind on too many things, his upcoming meeting with Laurence Carter, his subsequent Auror training, the realisation that he was making a big step in the path that lead towards his future, a slow, irritated restlessness had settled itself in the pits of his stomach, it was on the verge of boredom, but probably because he was lonely, spending most of his time in solitude, it was telling him to be reckless, to be spontaneous, Benji silently agreed with it. He just had to find the right moment, or person........
