Hungry. Her stomach growled beneath the confines of her corset even before the rich, earthy smell of the pub hit her. Very hungry. She she wasn't really a food person, eater that is, she could cook the most magnificent things with ease but she preferred creating, it was where the brains were most required. The food she normally consumed was tiny, grandiose often bordering pretentious but today she wanted hearty, filling, comfort food. She wanted Meat. Roast. Cheese. She also wanted someone else to prepare it for her.
The pub was half filled, most of the people looked like regulars, hunched over their pints or engrossed in a newspaper. The atmosphere was still quiet, it was late enough in the evening to ensure that any children were safely out of her immediate area so hopefully the ambiance of the place would continue at this pleasant level and she could eat and sit and come up with an incredibly clever plan on how exactly she was going to worm her way back into the education system.
There was a booth located a few steps away from her, it was large and enclosed by large wooden panels and stained glass, she slid into the booth and scattered her belongings along the bench next to her. Locating the nearest waitress she made eye contact and with a slight nod, beckoned the girl over to her.
"I'd like a roast please, Lamb, with vegetables and roast potatoes, a pot of gravy. A glass of your darkest, reddest wine and to finish chocolate pudding with strawberries and an Earl Grey tea, in a pot" The waitress eyed her tiny physique and raised an eyebrow, she nodded and read over the order and with a slight smile, left for the kitchens. There was no way all of that food was going to fit into her, but ordering was comforting.
Leaning back slightly, Lulu sighed and reached into her bag, Flourish and Botts had been kind enough to start an account for her, meaning she could come and go as she pleased and pick as many books as she wanted without the hassle of money or exchanging too many words with the over-enthusiastic and far too cheery staff in the disgusting colored robes. She preferred not to shop in such large, public stores, she liked pokey little bookshops where she could wander for hours and not be disturbed at all. Such luxuries were hard to come by these days, and her old shops, well, they knew her history and she was trying to keep the lowest profile possible while staying in contact with the wizarding world. One of the books she had chosen was a beautiful old book on the history of basic potion ingredients, much like cooking, potionary was made up with a specific array of base ingredients, with flare and creativity added to change the end result. Things like this came naturally to her and opening the cover, she lowered her head slightly and started to read.
