HAIR: Crimson, long
EYES: Turquoise
FACE: Heart-shaped, soft
HEIGHT: 5'6"
FASHION: Mostly gowns and flowing garments.
APPEARANCE:
Azura is surprisingly beautiful. Though her features are rather plain, and there are no real defining features, she has lovely ivory skin and a strange crimson tone to her hair. Her body is slender and curvy, and she is rather tall. However, she does not carry herself very well, and is often very clumsy. Her posture has gone into a bit of a slump since Severus' death, and it makes her appear quite a bit more depressed.
Her wardrobe is comprised largely of flowing gowns and neutral colors. If she is not wearing black or beige, she is most often found in green. True to her house, greens and silvers generally adorn her in accesories or jewelry. For any special occasion, her gowns tend to be more vibrant and poofy.

CHARACTER TRAITS
+PASSIONATE - Having lived as long as she has, Azura has learned to live each day to its fullest, not having many of them at a time. When her attention or drive gets attached to something, it does not dispurse until it is pulled apart.
+LOVING - Azura is kind, and anyone who can grab her attention tends to own her heart. It has been difficult for her lately, but she still carries a sweet, loving additude about her, even in the midst of despair.
+FUNNY - Its always a plus to have a sense of humor, and Azura definatly has that. While it can sometimes affect her maturity, she generally uses it to try and relax those around her.
-CHILDISH - Having relived adolesence many times over, Azura has never had the oppertunity to really grow mentally. Though she has a vast array of knowledge, her tact and social skills are somewhat lacking, making her seem far younger than she is.
-PESSIMISTIC - One thing that comes with a short life expectancy, is the inability to see the bright side of things. Something bad is going to happen, you just don't know where or when.
-ABSTRACT - Azura is very strange, this is no secret, but sometimes her oddities fall far outside of the social norm. She can often be found muttering about the past, and how different things were one thousand years ago.STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
+DARK ARTS - Azura has been in Slytherin house all of her time at Hogwarts, and has spent time with some of the most powerful dark wizards in history. She possesses a great knowledge of both newer and ancient spells long since lost to time. Though she is proficient, she rarely uses them, especially due to her recent losses.
+DEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS - Knowing the advancements of the Dark Arts that she does, it is only natural that she would be able to defend herself. While utterly failing in potions and transfiguration, Azura's true strength lies in defensive spells. She was quite disappointed that the post had already been filled at Hogwarts.
+FLYING - Azura is a natural on a broomstick, and has been seeker for the Slytherin quidditch team at various times thoughout her lives. Her life is fast-paced, and her flying abilities show it.
-TRANSFIGURATION - This subject is terrible for Azura. She's just never been able to get it down and, despite many years of trying, she has been unsuccessful in becoming an animagus because of this ineptitude. It has been rather frustrating.
-POTIONS - Azura truly has no patience, and, as such, her potion-crafting is less than acceptable. Many a cauldron has blown up in her face or managed to spill its contents all over classmates that were unfortunate enough to stand too close to her.
-DIVINATION - This subject completely frustrates Azura, and she sees little reason in pursuing it. That, and the few divination teachers she has had in the past have been absolute nuts.

FAMILY
Azura has lived too long to remember her bloodline. They were muggles, and their line did not decend very far before being wed out of existance. She does not remember her parents, whether or not she had brothers or sisters or ever people outside of Hogwarts from that time. In place of a family, however, her memories do call into being the image of Salazar Slytherin. At the time, the two of them were very close. Azura could pick up many things he taught her quite easily, and she was happy to have some one so kind around her. She would express the longings of growing old together, and they were very deeply in love. However, one night changed everything when she told him of her impure blood, and he cast her from the world of the living with a curse.FRIENDS
SALAZAR ? SLYTHERIN
DECEASED||CO-FOUNDER OF HOGWARTS
On a fateful day, centuries ago, Salazar Slytherin came across a young woman in rags wandering about Hogsmeade. No one seemed to know who she was or what her purpose in town meant. He approached her, after giving up on finding information from the villagers, and was immediatly stunned. Whether or not she was truly as beautiful as he had thought or it was just a sharp contrast from the rags around her, Azura had become unsure of over the years. Nevertheless, Salazar fell deeply for her. He'd recognized her last name as belonging to that of a prestigious wizarding family, though he was unaware that a muggle family shared the same name, and asked her to live with him inside of Hogwarts Castle. When he discovered her true origins, however, he placed an intricate curse on her. She would never truly die, being reincarnated with all of her memories intact, however, she would never grow old, dying at young ages. Never being able to live out her life with someone.GODRIC ? GRYFFINDOR
DECEASED||CO-FOUNDER OF HOGWARTS
Because Godric and Salazar were still friends at the time she knew them, Azura had also become fairly good friends with the mighty lion. He was a lot more charming than Salazar, and was constantly running into hare-brained adventures even during his days as a founder.
((It was difficult to find names of people between the 900s and the Modern Era, so this will skip ahead a bit.))
ALBUS PERCIVAL WULFRIC BRIAN DUMBLEDORE
DECEASED||HEADMASTER OF HOGWARTS
Azura has known Albus longer than anyone else in her life, mostly due to the fact that he has lived longer than most of the people she knew. She lost track of him when she was killed by a crazed pure-blood in Hogsmeade, but recognized his face years later when he returned to the school. She approached him after class one day, and told him who she was, or rather, had been, and about her curse. He had tried to help her lift the curse, but was unsuccessful. The curse was too ancient and the magic too old to have any resources to draw on. But she was happy returning as a student throughout the years, and kept a decent relationship with Albus. When she learned of his death, she was pierced with great sorrow.
GELLERT ? GRINDELWALD
DECEASED||DARK LORD
One of the few times she'd managed to grow old enough to graduate Hogwarts, she'd managed to run into Gellert Grindelwald. He was similar to Salazar, though his ambitions were much more violent. They were bordering on friends before he finally learned of her blood and killed her.
TOM MARVOLO RIDDLE
DECEASED||DARK LORD
One of her more interesting relationships involved a young Tom Riddle. He was very charming, and she was immediatly fascinated by him. She was a year behind him, but that didn't stop her from trying to get to know him. Eventually, he seemed to take to her, though this was a result of trying to use her. If there was an ingredient, artifact, or even textbook he needed, she would gladly run off and get it for him, putting herself in harms way several times. Azura was one of his first horcrux victims. They ended up meeting again later in life when she joined the ranks of his Death Eaters, however, it was a long time before she recognized him, and vice versa. Back in 1996, she tried to help fight against him, but became to enthralled in personal situations.
SEVERUS TOBIAS SNAPE
DECEASED||POTIONS MASTER
Severus was by far the only one to have the whole of Azura's heart. She fell head over heels for him, despite his distance and cold demenor. It wasn't long before she realized that his heart lay elsewhere, with a Gryffindor named Lily Evans. It tore her apart. By their sixth year, Severus and Lily had almost completly dropped contact, other than his insistant apologies, and Azura was able to make her way into a corner of his heart. They never actually dated, but she stayed close to him through the end of school and graduation. When he made up his mind to join the Death Eaters, Azura followed, not wanted another excuse for something to seperate them. She was once again killed by Voldemort, and remerged almost fifteen years later. By then, Severus had become even more distant and competly blocked her from his life. His death sent her into a year's worth of mourning and daily weeping.HISTORY
Azura was born in the late 900s to muggle parents. Her childhood was rather normal, as she came from a family of decent wealth. however, when she started to show signs of witchcraft, her parents cast her from their home, afraid of any kind of prosecution against them. The young girl was taken in by an orpahange where she lived peacefully for several years before journeying out on her own. Though she had little money, she made enough scraps from begging to survive, and she'd managed to travel quite a bit.
Throughout her life, she was disgusted with her abilities, considering herself a freak, and terrified of people finding out about her and sending her to execution. At one point, she was being threatened by a group of well-to-do young men, trying to get all sorts of vile things out of her, until her accidental magic caused them to be pushed away in a large force. They ran off calling witch, but Azura was snatched away before anyone's attention could be brought to her.
She'd been grabbed by a gruff-looking older man who tended to look at her quite oddly. His name was Agnitus Witrom, and he was able to explain to her what she was and that it was not so strange after all. At first, she didn't accept it, running away from him everytime he'd show up. Which was often. Eventually, she accepted her fate, and traveled with him to the young village of Hogsmeade. He told her she'd be safe there, and left without another word. Azura is convinced that he'd kept an eye on her even though he never showed his face.
Minutes drifted into hours as she wandered through the town. She would nod her head in greeting to some people she passed, but for the most part, she was absolutely lost in this new place. Until, that is, she was approached by a tall, pale man with a proud chin and a sharp goatee. His name was Salazar Slytherin. They went to some of the shops in Hogsmeade so he could explain different things to her. She had told him she just learned that she was a witch, but nothing about blood was ever said since Muggle-borns were a lot less common in those times. He assumed she had lived all of her life in the orphanage she told him about. At the end of the day, he asked her to come and stay at his home.
Salazar's home, at the time, was Hogwarts Castle. Together with Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Helga Hufflepuff, they were creating an acadamy to hone the skills of young witches and wizards. The castle was the largest building Azura had ever stepped foot in, and she was very impressed. For several months, she lived in close quarters with Salazar, listening to his jests and quarrels with Godric. The three of them got along rather well. Helga got along with everyone, and Rowena simply did not like Azura. She felt that she was a manipulative fool, though her claims were never really justified.
After a year of living in the castle, Salazar decided to ask Azura to marry him. He drew her into his quarters and shared all sorts of memories about his family. It seemed that they were quite well to do for many generations. Then, he wanted to know about her. Though he was a master of Legilimency, Salazar never invaded Azura's mind. He was too in love and did not want to betray her trust by looking into her life. That same love is what prevented him from speaking about his distain for muggles and muggle-borns in front of her. Its lead to some terrible consiquences.
Azura had told him about the orphanage at the time they met, but she'd never mentioned her parents. When she told him their names, he was unfamiliar with them, claiming that he'd never heard of the wizarding Golds having members with those names. She laughed and told him that they were not magic folk.
He was silent for several minutes, a complete lack of emotion on his face. When she reached out to him, he threw her from the bed and stormed out of the room. For several weeks, he would not appear before her. Finally, she approached him in his room. She tried to apologize, but they ended up in an arguement. Salazar shouted several unfamiliar latin words, and Azura felt her life slip away from her.
When she awoke, it was as though nothing had changed. Except she was ten years old again. Only this time, the year was 1061. Azura does not remember much about those days. She went to the castle to try and find Salazar, but, by then, he had gone. The young girl was admitted as a student and, after seven years had passed, she died again, this time due to a faulty chandelier fastening.
These events occured over and over again, different senarios, different names. Over many years. It became tiring. Azura had several boyfriends and lovers during this time, some of which caused her death. Some familiar faces stuck around, however, she would not approach them with her secret. That was, until the year 1860...
During her term at Hogwarts at this time, Azura met a young man with a peculiar name. Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore. Though they were in different houses, Azura and Albus hit it off quite well. While there were never any intimate feelings between the two, they were great aquaintainces and spent some of their weekends studying together in the library. Azura could sense a kind soul in Albus and divulged her secret to him. He was rather fascinated with the aspects of the curse, despite his dislike of the Dark Arts, and had made a side project of trying to remove it. He was, obviously, unsuccessful.
Azura died when she ran into a manticore in the Forbidden Forest.
The next life she lead brought her face to face with Gellert Grindelward for a short period. She was assisting the charming gentleman in a few experiments, but was ultimatly killed by him when he decided he didn't need her anymore.
One of the most fateful and surreal times of Azura's life was during the years of 1939 and 1943. She was once again sorted into Slytherin along with a very peculiar, quiet boy. Azura watched him grow into a charming, witty young man, and became quite enthralled by him. He was deep into studying the Dark Arts, and Azura, having lived as many lives as she had, knew quite a bit, so she offered her knowledge to him without divulging her secret.
They grew closer over the next few years, despite his general distance and odd manurisms. One year, on his return to the school, he seemed very different. His disposition was darker while he'd become more charming and manipulative and he now wore a strange ring. Azura had no idea that he'd killed his father and grandparents and framed his uncle for their murders.
By this time, he had a very close circle of friends, including Avery and Lestrange. He was becoming more and more secretive, appearing charming and intelligent on the surface, keeping the appearance of a good student which earned him the status of Head Boy in his seventh year. Even Azura was kept in the dark for the most part, but she stuck by his side, completely enthralled by him. She never liked Avery or Lestrange. They were always rather frightening, and she began to wonder who exactly he was placing his trust in.
After they graduated, Azura followed him into seclusion along with several other Slytherins. He was surrounding himself with purebloods and went on about similar goals of Grindelwald. A Purist supremecy. She often wondered about it. Albus had told her years ago that he was half-blood, so a vendetta against muggles seemed ridiculous. However, her suspicions proved true the night she found him in the midst of a pair of murdered muggleborns. Angered at his dark deed, and saddened by his hatred of muggles and muggleborns, she foolishly blurted out her own bloodline, causing a great rage within him.
He killed her in an instant, unhesitant and filled with a renewed anger towards those he sought to be unworthy of life.
Her next life brought her into the midst of Tom Riddle's reign as Lord Voldemort. People everywhere were filled with a fear that Azura had not seen since the rise of Gellert Grindelwald. It was even more difficult with the constant presence of Death Eater activity within Slytherin house. She had to make sure that the origin of her blood did not slip out, otherwise there would be terrible consiquences. Albus set her up with a pure-blood family claiming her as their daughter. It made it easier for her to fool her housemates, and gave her some security.
Azura was very quiet during this life. She hardly talked about herself, and spent most of her time in the library or the astronomy tower, desperate for solitude. It was during her fourth year that she decided that venturing into the forbidden forest in the middle of winter would be an excellent idea. There were certain flowers that bloomed only at this time, but the forest was also far more dangerous, especially with the accumulation of ice. It was that hazard that sent her spiraling down a sharp hill in the middle of December. Her wand had flown from her hand, and she was trapped under several branches and piles of snow. For hours, she called out, pleas unanswered, until someone finally found her.
A housemate.
Severus Snape. Apperantly, he had gone out for the same reasons she had. Many of the winter blooms had amazing properties in potions, and he had set out to find them. However, he was more familiar with the forest than she was, so he knew where to look. After helping her out of the woods, he'd given her one of the flowers he'd collected and headed back to the castle, muttering something about stupidity and women. The flower had brought a smile to Azura's face, and she decided that not all Slytherins were terrible people.
For three years she attempted to catch his eye. It was difficult. He had his sights set on someone else, and the thought made her cringe. When she finally figured out who it was, the feeling was worse. A Gryffindor girl. It mightn't of hurt so much had she been a Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw, and Slytherins and Gryffindors were supposed to be mortal enemies. However, during their fifth year, she found an oppertunity and comfort. Apperantly, the red-haired Gryffindor was also a muggleborn. So, apperantly, he wasn't as prejudice to blood as most Slytherins. He had managed to shun her away, and Azura took the oppertunity to attempt to comfort him.
During those final years at the school, she spent as much time with him as possible, trying to study with him, and discussing the Dark Arts, but he always seemed to go back to Lily Evans. She noticed him trying to apologize to her on several occasions, and started feeling terrible for him. Eventually, she told him that she was muggleborn. His reaction was horrible. It took months for her to sit with him again, and almost a year for him to start talking to her again. After graduation, they lost contact, however, she'd heard through some old sources that he had joined the Dark Lord.
Severus Snape was a Death Eater.
It didn't take a genius to decide that she had two choices. Leave everything as it was, and lose her heart to Severus forever, or follow him into the darkness and take a chance that even Albus Dumbledore couldn't save her from. In the end, she chose to follow her heart and the man she loved. At first, she couldn't find him, and neither of them knew who the other was. One night, they were assigned a mission together, and Severus was able to figure out her identity. They got into a scrap and ended up botching the mission. Upon returning to the Dark Lord, Azura took full responsibility and the punishment that went with it.
For a short time, the two of them would spend their nights together. It started as minor reminising, and quickly grew into intimate nights of desperate passion. There was never any mutual love between them, but Azura was happy. That happiness quickly faded once Severus had discovered his fatal mistake in the prophecy and took to worrying about Lily Potter every night, completely shutting Azura out. He grew more and more distressed, and he seemed to age years in only a matter of weeks. When Azura was chosen to accompany the Dark Lord on his final attack on the Potters, Severus completely shunned her, shutting her out forever.
Heartbroken and desperate, Azura made a grave mistake. They had entered the house, the Dark Lord quickly doing away with James Potter, and her mind started drilling for solutions. Before she knew it, they were standing in front of Lily. It was a split second decision that ended her life. The decision she thought would save Severus' feelings towards her.
Before the fall of the Dark Lord, Azura stood between him and Lily Potter.
She disappeared for sixteen years.
When she finally awoke, she was not the age she had been in the past. Instead of waking at the age of ten, she found herself at the ripe age of thirty six. It was strange, being as old as that. Her face was youthful, but she knew she was not. The only place she could think to go was back to Hogwarts, but what would she do after that?
Her answer came in the stalking, bat-like form of an old love. She couldn't believe that he was alive, let alone teaching at Hogwarts. At first, he didn't recognize her, when he did, he wanted nothing to do with her, telling her over and over that she was not to get involved in his life. Eventually, they were able to reconsile slightly, spending a long, quiet night together at a manor Azura had come into ownership of due to the line of the pure-blooded family who had helped her in her past life. They spent several hours arguing, talking, then lying together before drifting off to sleep. It was the one of the last quiet, private times Azura would have with him.
Several weeks later, he killed Albus Dumbledore.
Azura was shocked at the loss of her old friend and heartbroken that he was felled by her unrequited love. It was a horrible time when the Death Eaters moved in on Hogwarts. The whole year had seemed to be a blur, studded only by her final night in the arms of Severus Snape. Using ancient passages into the school, Azura had managed to find him and dove straight into his arms. They stayed in his office for a few hours, not daring to have her there for too long. When it was finally time for her to go, she expressed the whole of her love for him, which he was unable to return. It hurt her, but she left anyway. If she'd been caught, she would have died.
At the news of his death, Azura went into nearly three years of mourning. She wouldn't eat, and couldn't sleep. Eventually, she was admitted to St. Mungo's. It was hell. Waking up everyday to the harsh reality that the one man she'd truly loved in over a thousand years was gone. Forever. She would never see him again. The curse grew worse. She would grow older before her death, but she would always come back, never being allowed to accend to the plane she so wanted to live at.
After almost three years, she was released from the hospital. Not knowing her direction in life, she headed towards Hogwarts. The one place that always brought her peace...

His mind was screaming. Everything that could have possibly gone wrong that night decided to do so in one giant leap. James F*cking Potter was standing over him smirking in that arrogant manner that constantly made Severus want to drop his magic and punch the bloody arse's face in. Luckily, at least, Black had since fled the school, so he wouldn't be expecting anymore unwanted intrusions. Come to think of it, why was Potter out around the forest at this time of night anyway? Weren't his graces as a student and Head Boy enough? Did he have to prove himself more?
F*ck. He wasn't even making since in his own head. He closed his eyes and tried to regain his thoughts, but his mind kept clinging to physical sensations. The darkness of the forest, that muck-like earth beneath him. Potter mentioned something about being high. Maybe this is what it was like. He didn't even know how much of the sap had splattered on him. It was impossible to prevent every trace from leaking out of his eyes, but he had to get it off of his face. Burning sensations were starting to take the place of assinine fascinations, and he was sure he'd start screaming soon. Bloody hell. That would be worse than anything right now. It may even call the attention of unwanted Hogwarts staff.
Black eyes peered through squinted lids as he gazed up at his rival. He would most likely beat himself up in the morning, but he needed help and, though he hated to admit it, Potter was the only one around. Of all the Gryffindors in the school, it had to be Potter...Why couldn't it have been Lupin? At least he knew the properties of skull cap. Much moreso than the Quidditch arse standing over him, at least. Hell, it could have been-
No...She probably would have just left him there. One less dark wizard in the world, right?
It was almost as if he could feel the red splotches showing up on his face as he began to panic. The heat was turning into a searing pain, and he started breathing heavily. Apperantly, he was having an allergic reaction to the plant. Come to think of it, skull cap was in the same family as mint, which he did have a small allergy to...Perhaps this plant was simply more intense in the reaction—
Oh no...Last time he ate mint, he had trouble breathing. It wasn't enough to asphixiate him, but he did have to go to the hospital. That horrible, filthy place which made Severus wonder how muggles can stay in any good health at all. Contempt for the muggle world aside, he had to get help. If it was causing him to react this way, his throat would most likely close up.
Severus managed to sit himself up, bracing backwards with his hands behind him. He took a few short breaths and, sure enough, it was becoming difficult to draw a breath. Like eating a peanut butter sandwich and trying to breathe through it. It was more uncomfortable than life-threatening right now, but it would only be a matter of time. The only problem was his options for help.
Potter had already lorded over him when he'd pulled him away from the Shrieking Shack after Black had played that miserable prank. He was not looking forward to asking for his help, because he really would owe him a life debt then. A choice between death and humility was difficult. Merlin knows, he'd brag to the rest of the school and probably even lord it over him in front of the other Slytherins. Thats all he needed is for Malfoy to find out. Why did he surround himself with such prats?
He realized that he'd stopped breathing during his thoughts, but was able to draw air back in. The scare, though, was enough to help him make up his mind. He looked up over his shoulder at Potter with a bitter sneer on his face. Honestly, he'd have taken almost anyone besides Potter. But time was going to be running out soon, and he'd never make it back to the castle alone. As he went to turn around and stand up, he fell forward, his arms supporting him. Great. He'd landed in a beggar's position. That was making this easier.
For now, he ignored the sour sarcasm dripping in his mind and tried to stand up again, once more falling to his knees. He was becoming light-headed, most likely due to the lacking oxygen. That was wonderful. In fact, he doubted there was anything that could possibly make this night any worse. Except, of course, for the now dangerously tightened esophagus in his throat. His eyes were closed tightly as he fell onto his forearms, and his breathing was erratic and hitched, only drawing in and releasing air in small portions.
He grabbed onto something he assumed was Potter's cloak, and stared up at his enemy, his eyes terribly squinted and his breathing short and scratchy. If he didn't ask, he was probably going to die. He would freak Potter out and get left there in the mud to die of a bloody allergy. That idea didn't sit well with him.
"...h....help...." his voice was scratchy and somewhat pitched. "...help me..."
His words were small, but audiable in the silent clearing. He dropped onto his side and lay there, breathing heavily, but only drawing in a small bit of air. This was miserable, and he had a hunch that it was about to get worse.
