Harry, Ron, and Hermione went back to the school for their seventh year, but left for long periods of time on leads about horcruxes. It took their entire seventh year and then some to find all seven horcruxes, and destroy them. After about two years of the indirect fighting between the Order of the Phoenix(the trio included) and the Death Eaters, a nineteen year old Harry was able to finally defeat Lord Voldemort and some of the death eaters. All the death eaters who survived ran for their lives to get away. They wanted to live.
After months and months of fighting and searching, the Order managed to get all of the original death eaters such as Rookwood, Avery, Lucius Malfoy, Gregory Goyle, Vincent Crabbe, Bellatrix and Rodolpus Lestrange, and many other known ones. What the order didn't know, was that as the Order was building up their forces with children, so were the death eaters, and hiding them in unknown places, so they were out there, getting ready to live and go to Hogwarts some day.
Draco Malfoy was able to get away with Pansy Parkinson and got off from any charges against him. He went off to raise his children. The Lestrange children were also sent to him for a while, before they became very advanced for their age and ran off. They, being twins, decided, at the age of ten, to start and take over Voldemort's position and to try to become the most superior and to rid the wizarding world of those most worthy. With the twins' acception to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, they decided to start there, by trying to start at the school.
Over the six years of their attendance, there have been many injuries and even a death, but even though many had suspicions that it was the Lestrange twins or any of their little followers of the Malfoy, Avery, Rookwood, or many others, they couldn't pin it on them at all. There was no evidence and no one would speak against them. But, the Lestrange twins are still determined to get what they want, and currently in their seventh year, are ready to go as far as possible to do what they set out to do originally. But how far will they get with the Potter children and their little followers on their tail? Watching their every move? What will happen? Will the Lestrange twins succeed in what they set out to do? Will the Potter children save the world? What will happen with the first Potter in the history of them as wizards sorted into Slytherin? Only time will tell...
