SAILING THE WAVES OF THE PAST
Dyonisius was born into a world of darkness. His parents were incredibly powerful dark wizards who kept most of Helsinki, Finland within their grasp. Bring the youngest of five is both advantageous and dreadful. At the end of their lives, the entire Snaythe fortune, properties, and influence all pass to Dyonisius, giving him a materialistic comfort into his dying days. However, having grown up under Vincent longer than his own parents, the boy had been expected to follow in his brother's powerful, hateful steps. But Dyonisius did not have a fondness for the Dark Arts as his siblings did, and was reminded of his flaws on a daily basis.
As a boy, and into his teen years, Dyonisius refused to kill, and even ran from his home in order to attend Hogwarts for several years before finally graduating and returning to his home. Sorted into Slytherin, and present at the first rising of Voldemort, the young man quickly learned the tricks and trades of the Dark Arts, aided by some of his housemates. In school, he was very adept in Defence Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, and Herbology, scoring well in both his O.W.L.s and N.E.W.T.s. At the time, Dumbledore had recommended he find work at the Ministry, however, Dyonisius really didn't want anything to do with people like that, so he declined and returned to Snaythe Manor.
Upon his arrival, however, he found the home abandoned and ransacked. He fell under the assumption that his siblings had died in some battle during his years away, but proceeded to reconstruct the home anyway; even going as far as to replace the corpses upon the walls, something which he would never have done before these incidents.
About five years later, the Snaythe's returned to the manor, unaware that Dyonisius had returned. They had gone into other Scandinavian countries, attempting to recruit more allies and take up more control of eastern Europe. There had been a fire shortly before they left, but they had gone ahead with their plans anyway, so it was a surprise when they returned to a constructed home. When Vincent learned that it was Dyonisius' doing, he embraced his brother with the love of a proud father, finally accepting the young man as his equal.
It was about this time that Voldmort was making his second stand, and the Snaythes generally chose to stay out of Great Britain for the time being, as they did not want to deal with the egotistical rantings of a maniac bent on revenge for his own blood. Dyonisius ventured to England for a short time, revisiting places he'd remembered from his childhood, only to find them in shambles. Many of the shops in Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade had disappeared, and Albus Dumbledore had been killed by an old housemate. It was not the place he remembered, so he decided to take his leave. Before he could move, however, he was approached by a small group of Death Eaters, old Slytherins who recognized him and asked him to join their master. When he declined, they attacked him, only to be brutally thrown off. He left them alive as a warning, and told them that the Snaythe's would not be involved in their conquests.
The next couple of years passed rather uneventfully. The Dark Lord had fallen, and peace was generally returning to England. It was at this time that Vincent approached Dyonisius with an offer. He would travel back to the country and spend a few years on its soil, attempting to recruit new allies and spread their influence. Dyon accepted, and thought it a great oppertunity to enjoy the place that was his home for seven years.

Dyonisius is a graceful man with very handsome features, and he carries himself as such. His eyes are bright and unnatural, hiding the darkness beneath them. Long dark hair sweeps over his shoulders, and he sports neatly shaped facial hair of the same color. His legs are rather long in comparison to the rest of him, but overall, he is fairly proportionate.
CLOTHING
Dark robes, gothic accents, and scrappy muggle clothing are the general adorations of the dark wizard. His wardrobe is composed largely of blacks, navys, greys, and crimsons, with some white splashes here and there. Dyonisius tends to wear muggle clothing more often, as he finds it rather comfortable, but in formal situations or meetings, he will don dark gothic robes.

CHARACTER TRAITS
+COMPASSIONATE - Though he was brought into a dark world, Dyonisius remains empathic to the plight of those around him. While killing the unsavory folk of Rancan Alley and the like is no weight on his soul, he has an air of greivence for the innocent, and refuses to harm them.
+LOVING - Dyonisius has had few relationships in his life, but he has been a great companion throughout. It makes him happy to please his partner, and he always goes a little farther to buy them a gift or take care of a chore for them. He would rather spend an evening on the sofa with his lover than go into the nightlife and party.
+INTELLIGENT - Having such an expansive library in the Snaythe home, it was little wonder that Dyonisius spent much of his time in books. He would spend hours pouring over ancient texts, learning as much as he could about the history of the wizarding world as well as his own family.
+CUNNING - The one trait that pushed him into Slytherin house was one of his greatest advantages in life. He was very beguiling, and he could fool even that Dark Lord himself out of his power. Well, perhaps that is an exaggeration, however, he has managed through his life by this trait alone.
-PESSIMISTIC - Along with a dark childhood comes a clouded outlook on life. Murphy's Law could be considered the general description of Dyonisius' life. His pessimism isn't quite to the point of depression, but it still wears on him quite a bit.
-UNTRUSTWORTHY - Coming from such a dark past, and having the reknown that his family carries causes most people to be skeptical of him, despite his pleseant demenor. This makes it slightly more difficult to travel around or find work in Great Britain, due to their uproaral at the mere mention of dark wizards.
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
+DARK ARTS - Obviously, Dyonisius is very skilled in dark magic. Curses, hexes, jinxes, he knows them all. He has placed countless curses on many of his own possessions to keep his brothers from messing around with them. Dyon has mastered all three of the unforgivable curses, and uses them when the moment calls for it.
+HISTORY OF MAGIC - Having a large collection of old books is quite an advantage, and, while digging through his own past, he has learned much about the history of the wizarding world as a whole. Though he is no expert, Dyon knows a great deal more than your average wizard.
+HERBOLOGY - Part of Dyon's compassion will always lie in the earth. Plants are very calming, and the wizard makes it a point to tend to the greenhouses around Snaythe Manor, though many of his hours are spent over roses and lilies rather than herbs and plants.
+TRANSFIGURATION - Dyonisius had a knack for transfiguration during his time at Hogwarts and, by no means a master of the art, he can get by turning a tea cup into a swimming pool, or a lamp post into a lighthouse.
-MAGICAL CREATURES - Snaythe Manor lies very close to an ancient forest, full of dangerous magical creatures. After a few run-ins with a manticore, Dyonisius has shyed away from most magical creatures. With the exception, of course, of kinder beasts.
-DIVINATION - There is no trace of a divining line in the Snaythe blood. As such, Dyonisius is unable to harness even the simple task of reading tea leaves.
-WOMEN - It takes a lot to catch the eye of Dyonisius Snaythe, but once he's found someone, he tends to make a light fool of himself. Being rather shy anyway, Dyon is terrible at initiating the chase. Once its started, however, the dark wizard can be an absolute wolf.

OCCUPATION
Dyonisius is currently unemployed, having just traveled to England, however, he is looking for a job. Although, I'm sure he'd appreciate the Defense Against the Dark Arts job. ;3

Dyonisius stepped forth from the shadows. Long trails of blood dripped from his face and various torn portions of his clothing. His siblings had returned. He'd been in his room when Vincent burst in on him...
**********
"Dyonisius!" A voice bellowed from the man's chamber door. He realised with great ease who it was. Somehow, his brother had survived the inferi attack.
Vincent strode forward and grabbed Dyonisius by the front of his shirt. "Slacking off again...I should have known..." Dyon was thrown roughly from his bed before he had a chance to speak. He cracked his head sharply on the opposing wall.
It took him a while to regain his ability to speak. His voice came out rather shaken and hushed. "Vincent...You...You were killed...I saw you! I-!" Dyon stopped speaking immediatly. Vincent had drawn a large knife from inside his cloak. A shining, moonstone dagger. One of which Dyon was far too familiar with.
"Vincent, stop." Before Vincent had a chance to advance on Dyonisius, Victoria stepped in and cast a nonverbal, binding spell. "Leave him alone for now. You can have your fun later." She let him down after he'd calmed slightly. "Victoria...The boy is bringing shame to a legacy we worked so hard to drill into those around us..." His teeth were clenched and his voice was low and dangerous.
Victoria glared at him, and he said no more. With a dark glance at Dyon, he stormed out of the room. Dyonisius stood up and brushed himself off before walking towards Victoria. He knew not to approach her in an untidy manner. "How did you..." Dyon spoke after a short silence.
"Survive." He looked at her. She'd spoken such an innocent word, but it was one that would affect him greatly. "Yes..." He hung his head low. Dyonisius wasn't as edgy around his sister, but Vincent would surely have him wishing for death by the end of the night. But Victoria just put her hand on his shoulder and said, "Come...Haralambos has dinner waiting."
They walked in silence down the long stairwell. Even the normally screaming portraits were confused by the return of the long departed Snaythes. As they entered the living room (which, is the most ironic room in the manor), they saw Pythori mending an arrangement in a corner. When he noticed them enter, he glared at Dyonisius. "You let her die. I wanted to hear her scream." He was referring to the chandiler above. After he'd discovered his fiancee having a secret affair, he mutalated her lover before her, then strung her to the ceiling, and melted candles to her body.
"I'm sorry...I didn't know you were alive and I didn't see the importance of keeping her al-" Dyon jumped as Pythori threw a sharpened, silver dagger at him. The dagger flew past him, nicking his cheek, and embedding itself into the wall.
Dyonisius knew better than to upset his brother anymore. Vincent was bad enough all the time. But Pythori could be just as terrible if provoked. Victoria shook her head at Dyon and lead into the dining room. Plates of disturbingly familiar meat were plated around the table; all cooked and seasoned with Haralambos' own inventive spices.
His older brother smirked at him. Out of all of his siblings, Dyon enjoyed Haralambos' company the best. Sure, they'd gotten in several messy situations, but hey, what can you do?
As Dyonisius walked towards the table, he was stopped by a sudden figure in front of him. Vincent had Apperated down the stairs and was now glaring maliciously at him. "Unless you would like to become tomorrow's meal, I suggest you sit and say nothing. Understood?" Dyon shook his head quickly and took a seat at the far end of the table.
No sooner had he sat down, that the familiar burning in his arm started up. He turned to leave, but was stopped by another dagger flying past his head. "I never said you could leave..." It was Vincent's dark voice that met his ears. Dyonisius turned to face him. "But...brother...He's calling...I have to-" Dyon fell back in surprise. Vincent had drawn his wand and sent a white hot blast of energy past Dyon's cheek.
"You want to go to him?" Vincent's voice had a mocking tone hidden within it's dark overlay.
"...Yes...I have to...I-"
"Then go. Walk out the door." Dyonisius looked at the front door. Something wasn't right. Surely Vincent wasn't just going to let him go. However, instead of pressing his luck, he walked slowly towards the door, looking back at Vincent every once in a while. By the time he'd gotten to the door, he believed it to be safe. He took a step outside and...
There was a large crash. The door had swung shut and locked behind him, and daggers were floating dangerously in the midnight air. Dyon decided to just Apperate. No sense in running. When he tried, he fell backwards and the daggers attacked.
They shot themselves at him, as if thrown five at a time. Dyonisius scampered up quickly and darted across the lawn. His clothes already torn to shreds, and blood oozing from each wound. It took him several minutes to make it across before he could finally Apperate to the meeting...
**********
He walked forward without his usual grace and slumped in front of his master. Dyon brushed his lips on the hem of the Dark Lord's robes in respect and assummed a rather twitchy bow. "I am sorry for my absence master...I have no excuse..."
