Details
History: Sophie was born into the Sceleris family not knowing what she had gotten herself into. For the first couple of years she didn’t really see much of her parents. They were always off doing something or another that really was never disclosed to her. Being the daughter of Death Eater parents came at a price of never seeing them. As a result she was able to build a strong sibling relationship with her brother, Alex. They might have been born four years apart but Alex was always there for her and that’s really what mattered to her.
Being pureblood didn’t always mean that you had a fortune. Sophie found this out early in her life when she noticed others around here having much better things then her. In the long run however, it has made Sophie into a better person not constantly demanding lavish and pointless things. Their home was never one to brag about but it was one that Sophie loved because of the history and the little nooks she could crawl into to play. Once Alex went off to school, Sophie was left alone most of her days trying to find ways to entertain herself.
Life was boring and simple then. It wasn’t until she was ten that her life changed drastically. It had been a really cold winter day just a few days after Alex had finally come home from school for the holidays. There had been a lot of yelling and fighting in the house that day and Sophie didn’t know what was going on until she came downstairs to see both her parents dead on the floor. Her brother had killed them both for wanting to flee the country upon Voldemorts return. Most people would think that Sophie had cried that day. If not than, then she had cried at the funeral at least or a few days after that. In reality the loss of her parent’s hadn’t caused a single tear to shed from the little girl. Sure she might not have fully understood what had happened but she did know that they were never coming back. Not even that fact had caused her to miss them or cry over their deaths. The moment she did cry was when Alex had told her he was going away this time not promising to come back. Losing the only person, who during her whole life, who had been there and taken care of her hurt the most. Her parent’s lack of presence in her life made their loss easy. Her brother leaving to be thrown into Azkaban for killing their parents had caused her to cry for weeks.
Being a few months away from starting Hogwarts herself, Sophie was put into the care of her uncle Severus Snape. She had never known or heard about him until the Ministry traced her family tree back. Since his mother had been written out of the family when she married the others Muggle father, their side of the family really wasn’t spoken of. Sophie not having anyone one else to go to, was shipped to stay with him, to both their dislike. That summer she got her acceptance letter to Hogwarts and started another chapter in her life.
In her third year at Hogwarts, she finally saw Alex once again. He didn’t tell her where he had been or why he was back but at this point she didn’t care. He was all she had and he was finally back in her life. Little did she know that after the huge was at Hogwarts, he would once again leave. With her parents dead, and her uncle killed during the war, Sophie was left to fend for herself. The house was still theirs so she had a place to live and with the little money her uncle had left her she was able to keep herself alive.
Now she was going to go back to Hogwarts and try to finish what she started. In the two years since that war, she was able to grow up a lot and open her eyes to the world around her.
Appearance:
Personality: Sophie is no longer the same naive and innocent girl she was when she first started Hogwarts. The war and her family history slowly changed her into a stronger and more open person. She might be quiet around most people but with her friends she is a whole new person. It might be their influence or something has changed but she is livelier then she once was. The war had changed a lot of people and Sophie was one of them. She won’t take life for granted and she will do anything she things is interesting. Being a Slytherin also helped mold her into the confident and charismatic person she is now.
Example of Role play: "That is not fair and you know it." she said her head turned towards him. The more they talked the angrier he got. She had never seen him act like this. She didn't like it at all. All she wanted was for things to go back to how they were. She like that better then what was going on now. It was like her whole world had been turned upside down. She knew that he wanted her not to get hurt, but he did not have to act the way he was now. She could not remember him ever yelling at her. It was something not even her parents did. She took a step back from him. She stared at him like he was a complete stranger to her. It seemed that way. "You never used to be like this." she said softly. No longer being able to look at him she turned back to face Peter. He had been with her the whole time she was stuck at home alone. Couldn't Alex understand that? Closing her eyes she sighed and whispered for Peter to leave. Maybe if he wasn't here Alex would loose the look of pure hatred. She hoped that it wasn't meant for her.
Peter was slightly reluctant to leave but eventually nodded and hugged her tightly before leaving. He would occasionally look behind his shoulder to make sure she was OK. Once he was out of ear shot Sophie turned back to Alex. "If you cared you wouldn't be yelling at me. I've never seen you like this, your looking at me like you never want to see me again." she informed him. That look killed her.
