Who will you be?
Professor Name: Raven Knights
Class you want to teach: Transfigurations/ Gryffindor HOH / Deputy Headmistress
History of you character
Raven was born in London, England with her parents Emelda and Charlie Knights. Both of her parents were very high up in the Ministry rankings - her mother working for the Department of Transport and her father working in the Department of Mysteries. Both of them instilled the importance of Education in their Daughter who, by the right age, took her place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In school she excelled in many subjects, however taking a particular like to Transfigurations and Defense Against the Dark Arts. Being in Gryffindor meant she had a natural flair for the subjects and managed to obtain excellent passes in her OWL's and NEWT's.
Throughout her school career she worked hard and studied often, making sure to be all that she could be. Near the end of her school career she thought about teaching as a pathway for her to follow and took the post of Transfigurations teacher at a small girls school near the south of England. Teaching for many years gave her the experience she needed to become a fantastic teacher, but also a rather strict one. Raven was always a stickler for the rules and saw their need within the school environment.
Working her way up the promotions ladder she took the post of Deputy Headmistress of the school for one year, however changed when a job offer came up at Hogwarts and is now the Deputy Headmistress of her former school.

Click...click...click.... Raven's heals clicked off the stone floor of the fifth floor corridor as she walked along. Holding her head high, she scowled at some of the older pupils who stalked along, giving her a wide breath. Free periods, or so they were called, were something that Raven had a particular dislike for. She saw the need for pupils to be in lessons at all times within the school day and not wandering around. It was a total waste of time. However it was something she could not get changed. Being the Deputy Headmistress only saw her having few rights to change things about the school. Timetables were not one of them.
As she neared the corridor she stumbled back looking up. In front of her stood two girls, both on ladders hanging what looked like a badly made poster above the entrance to the corridor. She looked, mouth open and gasped. "What on earth are you playing at Milicent Drywall!" She snapped and turned her attention to the other girl. "...and you Kerry Clearwater!". Her cold, echoing tones made some pupils who were walking behind her turn in the other direction.
However as he continued to stare, Milicent lost her balance on the ladder and fell backward from her position. Raven rolled her eyes and shot out her hand as a jelly, plasm like substance appeared from thin air below the girl and caught her, cradling her in the air. She was suspended before Raven flicked her hand downward and the substance lowered her onto her feet. "What have I told you girls!", Raven snapped for the third time, "...just because this is your school as well as your home does not give you the right to hang such frivolous vanity onto our walls!".
