Okay, hyptothetically, if they were to re-make Harry Potter only with all American actors, who would you pick to play who?
I did this with a group of my friends, and we found it quite hard to cast some people, just wanna see your ideas.

I couldn't imagine Harry Potter with American actors, no way. The accent just doesn't fit. I don't even know any young American actor/actresses.
I'm English and its great to see a near full English cast in the movies (of course it wouldn't be right if they weren't English as Hogwarts is in the UK) lol

But just cast it. They can put on fake English accents, and I'm not really asking for the kids, I'm more interested in the adult characters.

Hmmm...I think Catherine Zeta Jones would make a great Bellatrix. Shes not American (Welsh I think) but she lives in America and has a American accent.
I'm not to good at this, I would have loved to see Angela Lansbury have a role in the movies. She has to be one of my favourite actresses. She could play a good Arabella Figg ^_^

No. No you arent  You've just named 2 British actresses for my American cast. However, I do agree that Lansbury would make a good Mrs. Figg. I do have a sneaking suspicion that Mrs. Figg wont make the film however |

lol sorry, well Angela Lansbury though born in England now carries a American citizenship.
Figg may make it in the film as who else can come to Harry when the dementors attacks in Privet drive. You never know though, Alfonso twists and changes so many things.

I just thought of a excellant, American actress to play Arabella Figg. Ellen Burstyn ^_^
Gwyneth Paltrow as Narcissa Malfoy (maybe?). I remember her in Shakespeare in love and she could be quite haughty and cold looking at times just as I imagine Narcissa.

But, they aren't really big characters. Can you think of people for:
Dumbledore, Hagrid, Remus, Sirius, etc

Rebecca de mornay as narcissa, Julian sands as Lucius, hmm snape whod make a good snape, damn i cant think. oh i know who could make a good hagrid. michael chicklas (?) the guy who played the thing in fantastic four. johnny depp as as remus lupin stuart townsend as sirius black.

David Spade could make a wonderful George or Fred Weasly. Damn if only he had a twin.
Snape is a good question I dont know who would make a good Snape??
I think that Toby McGuire would make a good 16 or 17 year old Harry
