I HAVE A LINK AND ANOTHER THEORY:

The locket in the headquarters, and the locket in the cave were both described as "a heavey golden locket". I think that:

Regulus went to the cave and got the locket after descovering his secret and leaving the DEs. He found the locket and repaced it with a locket he had with him, wrote a note in it, then left with the Horcrux, intending to destry it.

Reg went back to his house, 12 Grimmauld place, and strated trying to destroy it. He didnt tell anoyone what he was up to - the Blacks all supported Voldie, and wouldnt have liked to know that their son was trying to destroy their lord. V went to the cave and read the note. He knew RAB was Reg, and killed him. The locket was still in 12 Grimmauld Place. The Blacks just thought Reg had found out what he'd gotten into by joining DE, and tried to back out.

JK didnt go nito any detail about the Grimmauld locket, coz maybe she thought it'd be too obvious or something.

That's a very outlandish theory, but I can see where it makes some sense Jinx.

My friend just recently came up with an extremely good theory on why Dumbledore isn't dead. She was able to support it with passages from the fifth and sixth books, and it was extremely good.

Maybe R.A.B is another group and that's thier intials. Sorts like Death Eaters are called DE's or Dumbledor's Army D.A. So this could be another organization like the Order that are trying to fight the voldamort. It's unliky that this is the case but it's just a thought.

Ok so I was thinking about how harry could be a horcrux or whatever...forget the spelling...anyways you know how in the fifth book voldemort had to use harry to become alive again well then harry was a horcrux but now voldemort is the original because he took his horcrux back to his new body *nods* I also think that ravenclaw is more then likely the horcrux with something like a pendant you know that old ladies wear and their really big and go on your jacket *nods*
