It's a spoof pic, but it does spoil the book, so unless you have read the book, don't click on the link.

I think that people are attracted to them because they perform acts that are usually shunned in society, yet no one shuns them, but rewards them for it.
Also, I'd say that it's because Harry Potter dislikes them both, and most people dislike Harry Potter because he can be very arrogant at times in the books.
I personally hate Harry, he's too stuck-up, and hard-headed for my tastes. But as you can see I like Snape, and I thought that his actions in the 6th book were for a certain reason. If you want to hear my theory, here it is:
Dumbledore plead with Snape for his life, but yet he didn't plead with Draco, it's either because:
a) Dumbledore knew Draco wouldn't do it, but that Snape would (because Snape has killed before)
b) Dumbledore and Snape had all this planned from square 1, ie: Snape told Dumbledore of the Dark Lord's plan.
Anyways, I thought that book 6 was an awesome almost-conclusion to the series. I am now hoping that we find out a ton more about Snape in book 7.

I agree with Snape on letter "b" Dumbledore was rather fishy due to his hand and wouldn't tell harry what had happened. Dumbledore usually tells harry everything. I don't think it was. Plus there are just too many other things that are just unlike..

But to justify something else - a theory that Snape is pure evil - he could have killed Dumbledore because he thought that there weren't any witnesses about. Harry was there but he wasn't seen because he was under his Invisibility Cloak - the rest of the witnesses were Death Eaters - they wouldn't care anyways.
It really frustrates me that JKR stops there and doesn't tell us anymore of what happened to Snape after he murdered Dumbledore. I would like to see what happens after that - like if Voldemort becomes really angry with him or if the Order swears to track him down and kill him or if he becomes wanted by the ministry. I honestly thought the ending on book six was crap just because JKR didn't include what happened afterwards. But than again I guess that's what book 7 is for.
